Instructions for Office Based Surgery

Before Surgery
- Please do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your surgery.
If you do, we’ll need to reschedule your procedure for safety reasons.- This includes
- No food
- No water
- No gum
- No candy
You can brush your teeth, but please make sure to spit the water out. Avoid swallowing anything before surgery.
What to Wear and Bring
- Wear comfortable clothing.
- If you wear contact lenses, please wear glasses instead.
- Leave all jewelry at home.
Companions and Transportation
- One person is allowed to come with you at the time of surgery.
- If you don’t have an escort, you can take a cab home. Alternatively, we can call someone to pick you up after the procedure.
Medications
- If you take anti-anxiety or blood pressure medication, take it with just a tiny sip of water.
- Let the nurse know about any medications you’re currently taking.
Special Instructions for GLP-1 Agonists
If you are taking a GLP-1 agonist (such as Trulicity, Ozempic, Wegovy, or others), please stop taking it 2 doses before your procedure.
