Faina Gelman-Nisanov, MD

Dr. Faina Gelman-Nisanov is from Brooklyn, New York. She attained her medical degree from Stony Brook University’s School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, where she was trained in gynecological surgery including laparotomy, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and vaginal surgery.

Dr. Gelman-Nisanov chose the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology because it encompasses all facets of medical care for the female patient. She is an advocate for women’s reproductive health and rights. Her particular interests are in contraception counseling, family planning, and hysteroscopic and vaginal surgery.

She is fluent in both English and Russian. She has a passion for patient education and strives to provide patients with wholesome and individualized care.
