Kate Zhang, DPT
Kate Zhang received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York University and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. She has completed clinic experiences in inpatient rehabilitation in both acute and subacute settings, and outpatient orthopedics both in the United States and military base in Israel.
Kate has worked with patients that range from geriatric populations, athletes, vertigo and dizziness as well as patients with women’s health conditions. She is passionate about women’s health including pelvic floor dysfunction, postpartum rehabilitation, and pregnancy rehabilitation.
Kate holds a certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation from the American Institute of Balance. She has completed several continuing education courses through Herman & Wallace for pelvic floor function, dysfunction and treatment. She also has strong manual skills on effective assessment and treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal disorders of the Upper and Lower Limbs.
She believes that patients are the key element in rehabilitation and therefore patient education plays a crucial role in this process. No one should always suffer from pain and in order to take control of their health, therapists need to help patients to have a better understanding of what is pain and how pain works.
On weekends, Kate takes advantage of the outdoors with snowboarding, surfing, and hiking.
