Shah Giashuddin, MD

Shah Giashuddin, MD, is a board-certified anatomic and breast pathologist serving patients throughout New York City at the Maiden Lane Medical offices in Midtown Manhattan. Dr. Giashuddin is the director of the Maiden Lane Medical clinical laboratory, ensuring the quality and accuracy of biopsies and other diagnostic tests.

After earning his doctorate of medicine, Dr. Giashuddin completed his AP/CP Pathology residency at the New York University Medical Center. During that time, he taught at the New York University Medical School.

Dr. Giashuddin went on to complete rigorous fellowship training in oncologic surgical pathology at New York University Medical Center and cytopathology at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). He is also certified in ThinPrep and SurePath™pap smears.

Dr. Giashuddin is involved in various research projects studying the cellular progression of breast cancer and has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles. He also lectures and presents at conferences both in the United States and internationally. 

Dr. Giashuddin is involved in general surgical and cytopathology diagnostic work, specializing in breast, gynecological, and pulmonary pathology. In addition, he performs fine needle aspiration biopsies on request as well as rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) of image-guided aspiration pathologies of the lung, pancreas, thyroid, and deep-seated pelvic organs.
