Dr. Datta first worked as the Assistant Director of the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the St. Luke’s Medical Center (now the Mount Sinai West
Hospital). From there she moved to a private practice in Manhattan that specialized in GYN where she focused on complex women’s health issues particularly related to pelvic pain. All surgical procedures were performed at Weill Cornell, NY Presbyterian Hospital, that has been ranked #1 in New York City for the past 17 years by U.S. News & World Report. The experience she gained during her time at the private practice has helped her to gain valuable insight into vulvar, vaginal and pelvic floor disorders which can affect the appearance of the genitalia and can cause vulvovaginal, urinary and sexual dysfunction. She saw first hand through her close patient relationships how the appearance and function of the vagina can affect a woman’s overall health, daily routine, self-image, and intimate relationships. This insight has molded her to focus on vaginal surgical cosmetic procedures and feminine rejuvenation including hormone treatment and pelvic floor physical therapy. To supplement this approach to treatments, Dr. Datta has completed acupuncture training at Harvard University.
